Join the
KIJUPA Children's and Youth Parliament
at the Superkunstfestival 2025!

Are you between 8 and 18 years old and interested in thinking about what a really cool festival could look like? Then you've come to the right place!

For the first time, the Superkunstfestival 2025 will feature a KIJUPA Children and Youth Parliament – and you can be part of it!

Together with other children and young people with and without disabilities and from all backgrounds, you will be part of a creative team that helps shape the festival. In workshops – before and during the festival – you will collect, discuss, and develop ideas. The KIJUPA Children and Youth Parliament will be held in German. You will be accompanied by our festival team, , who will support you and take your opinions seriously. Up to 25 children and young people can actively participate in the KIJUPA Children and Youth Parliament.

The KIJUPA Children and Youth Parliament is a place where you can:

  • Give free rein to your ideas
  • Express your opinion
  • Experience how democracy works
  • Get in touch with other children and young people

Because: Children and young people are the shapers of the future – and the Superkunstfestival looks forward to hearing your thoughts and visions!

What you can expect at the KIJUPA Children and Youth Parliament:

  • A get-together before the actual festival begins on June 6, 2025
  • A workshop on each day of the festival at the Diakonie Nord Nord Ost festival grounds (no longer than an hour, we promise!)
  • The opportunity to meet people who are knowledgeable about politics and culture.

In the workshops, we want to discover the festival together – behind the scenes and in the thick of the action. For example, we will talk about how a festival works, what needs to be considered, and how a festival can be developed further. We will let our imaginations run wild.

Of course, all children and young people at the festival can express their ideas and watch the KIJUPA Children and Youth Parliament. However, active participation in the KIJUPA Children and Youth Parliament as a member of parliament is only possible after applying.

You can apply for the KIJUPA Children and Youth Parliament if you:

  • Are between 8 and 18 years old
  • Are available from June 13, 2025, to June 15, 2025
  • Want to talk to other children and young people about festival design

DEAR PARENTS

We are delighted that your child is interested in the KIJUPA Children and Youth Parliament at the Superkunstfestival 2025!

In guided workshops, the children and young people develop ideas together, discuss topics, and thus actively help shape part of the festival. The aim is to experience democracy, learn about participation, and make their own ideas visible.

This is important to us:

  • Ideally, the participating children and young people should be able to attend on all days of the festival. This allows trust to build within the group and joint ideas to emerge.
  • The children will be accompanied by the experienced festival team throughout the entire project. The workshops are guided, designed for children, and offer plenty of room for exchange, creativity, and participation.
  • The festival team accompanying the KIJUPA Children and Youth Parliament cannot take on any medical or special educational tasks in the care of the children. In the event that children and young people need special support, this must be provided by their parents.
  • Unfortunately, the Superkunstfestival cannot provide food and accommodation for the children and young people.
  • The project is deliberately aimed at the children and young people themselves. To give them their own space for development, discussion, and creativity, we kindly ask parents to remain in the background during the workshop times. Of course, we are available at any time and will keep you informed about everything important.
  • The selected children and young people participating in the KIJUPA Children and Youth Parliament of the Superkunstfestival do not need a festival ticket. Youth tickets that have already been purchased will be refunded by the Superkunstfestival.
  • The Superkunstfestival is under no obligation to accept participants.
  • The KIJUPA Children and Youth Parliament is free of charge.
  • The number of participants is limited to 25 children and young people.
  • At the end of the questionnaire, parents must agree to the consent and data protection declaration.
